6 Weeks

Little Brielle is now 6 weeks old. I love her more everyday. It's always a little harder in the beginning because a new baby is so exhausting and everything is so new, but it has been such a joy to be her mother and I love looking into her sweet innocent eyes and wondering what she will be like when she is older. She is so beautiful and is such a good baby.

I think she is a little over 11 lbs now. She is sleeping pretty well. We will generally go to bed around 10 or 10:30 and then she will wake up about five hours later, eat and then go back to sleep for another three hours. Then I'll feed her and put her down again, at that time is about when Alivia wakes up so I have a couple hours of just me and Alivia in the morning which is probably good for her.

The adjustment to kids has been pretty good. There are definitely hard times, but over all we are doing okay. Luckily Brielle sleeps a lot right now. I haven't really ventured out anywhere by myself yet. I usually have my mom come along to help me. The past few weeks seems to be harder on Alivia. She needs a lot of attention and doesn't really understand when I need to attend to Brielle sometimes. She is very sweet with her though and loves to give her hugs and say "bless you" when she sneezes.
