I still haven't taken anymore pictures of the baby bump, but I am now 37 1/2 weeks. Things are going well. I am sleeping much better this pregnancy than the last. I'm still kind of in shock that I'm going to have another baby in less than a month, but I'm also really excited to hold this little babe.
About a month ago I decided to switch from my doctor to a midwife. I've just never felt that connected to my doctor and I started thinking about my birth plan and what I wanted. I really want to give it another go at a unmedicated birth and I didn't feel like she was on the same page as me. So I switched to the midwives at IMC. So far I have loved it. It is a little different because it is just a group of them so you don't meet with one specific one, but so far I've enjoyed each one that I've met with. We are also going to have a doula. I haven't felt as prepared for this birth and I heard really good things about this doula so I figured it would be good to have her there to help me through the labor. They now have an option for laboring and giving birth in the water at IMC and I am going to try that. I'll at least try laboring in the water and see how that goes.
Sometimes I don't feel ready at all for this baby to come and other times I just want her here right now. It is hard not knowing how it will all happen and when it will happen. We are excited though and I think Alivia will be a great big sister.
